Cenyth Red Blend 2016

50% Cab Franc, 33% Merlot, 17% Cabernet

🍾 $45.99 Bottle Price

📦 Case Discount -Available in store

🍇 Wine Maker's Notes🍇

Wearing its youth in the form of a deep violet color, the 2016 Cenyth will evolve into the traditional ruby, garnet and amber hues of maturity. The nose reveals aromatics that are moderate in intensity and the palate is led by fresh fruits. Red plum and fresh blackberry are prominent – all balanced by a frame of French oak – and complemented by notes of roasted coffee and baking spices. Non-fruit aromas of fresh flowers, spearmint, and bay leaf add a brightness and lift to the nose. Acid and tannin dance together on the long finish, continuing the theme of youthful freshness and complexity

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

94 Points

"The 2016 Cenyth Red Wine Blend is blended of 50% Cabernet Franc, 33% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with expressive baking spices, fragrant earth and vibrant red and black currant scents with touches of underbrush, pencil shavings and tar with a waft of charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins and wonderful freshness framing the densely packed red and black fruit layers, finishing long. 1,740 cases produced." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (29th Oct 2018)

Antonio Galloni's Vinous

91-93 Points

"The 2016 Red Wine (Sonoma County) is laced with the essence of blackberry jam, chocolate, mocha, new leather, and licorice. Bold and ample on the palate, with quite a bit of structure, 2016 is decidedly ripe and also virile in style. 2016 is shaping up to be the best wine from Cenyth yet." - Antonio Galloni (Apr 2018)

Tonel 78

Barrel Select 2016

🍾 $17.99 Bottle Price

🍇 Wine Maker's Notes 🍇

50% Malbec. 50% Bonarda. Using selected grapes of each harvest we produce this unique blend. As the mythical team that in 1978 supported by the passion of its people, achieved the first big joy for a country that loves wine as much as soccer. Tonel 78 is a tribute to that great team that raised us to the top of the world.

🍷 Tasting Notes 🍷

Malbec and Bonarda are the two top red grapes of Argentina in terms of production, and this wine reveals the two varietals in equal proportion in one bottle where the magic of the blend reveals its genius.

Medium tending towards deep intensity ruby in color this wine has a pronounced, aromatic nose of raspberry, violet, red plum and black currant.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied malbec and bonarda blend echoes ripe red and black fruit suggested on the nose with medium-plus flavor intensity and, velvety, medium-plus tannin. There is mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and medium acidity.
